In the competitive field of dog training Charliebar strives to provide A+ training. We require individuals with the grit, attitude and autonomy to efficiently care for the dogs we take in for boarding with Charliebar standards.

Client, private session, public session or a session with a dog from one of the many rescues we work with A+ training is always the goal. The rescues we work with bring their dogs to us for training to help increase their chances of finding a lasting home.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and train dogs in basic behavior and dog training techniques.
• Must learn and be efficient at all kennel technician duties in order to move up and
• Use a variety of methods (examples include but are not limited to: clicker training, progressive training, behavior modification, etc.)to help our clients increase their dogs’ activity levels.
• Work closely with the owner to ensure that all dogs are handled by their owners when necessary.
• Attend all required staff and owner meetings
• Complete required training classes.
• Ensure that all dogs are exercised regularly and properly.
• Ensure that all equipment (including but not limited to: harnesses, leashes, etc.)is cleaned regularly.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings as well as mandatory dog training classes provided by CharlieBar Boarding and Training.
• Must maintain a clean and organized home away from home.
• Communicate effectively with both clients and owners.
• Be available to work on weekends if needed.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to sign liability waiver.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Reliable personal computer use is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
• Must be able to learn and take direction.
• Must maintain a positive attitude.
• Must be ok with the heat in Arizona
• Must be team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
