- Accurate recording of baseline vital signs (weight, T, P, R, CRT)
- Ability to restrain dogs and cats
- Nail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning,
- In house laboratory (IDEXX/Heska/Abaxis in house laboratory equipment and reading in-house cytology)
- Radiograph positioning
- Setting IV Cath
- Administration of medications via injections (SQ, IM, IV) and PO use
- Anesthetic induction, maintenance and recovery.
- Aseptic surgical techniques
- OR prep
- Dental - intraoral radiographs, scaling, polishing and charting dental anatomy and pathology
- Familiarity with medications used in the veterinary field
- Medical Terminology
- Follow instructions and direction
- Maintain reports, records, logs and filing systems
- Enter data/medical records into a computer system(Avimark)
- Communicate effectively within the team and with a variety of individuals on a day to day basis
- Provide prompt, efficient service for our clients and their pets
